While thinking about evolution, it's easy to think of a simple lineage in which humans evolved in one straight from all of their ancestors, and to think of species like the Homo-Neanderthalis as an ancestor rather than a species that coexisted with the Homo-Sapiens.

However, the reality is quite different.

Up until only a few tens of thousands of years ago (in contrast to millions of years of human evolution), many hominid species coexisted alongside each other. In fact, there is actually a great deal of influence between hominid species, for instance tool crafting techniques adopted by the Homo-Neanderthalis from the Homo-Sapiens, hunting techniques that were copied, and many more.

In this activity, try to uncover different traits (cards), whether it's the skeleton of a species or it's a common practice this species practiced in their culture, and match it to other traits that belong to the same species by clicking on the traits that match, or clicking once to peek and again to deselect the trait.

Unlike other memory games, you don't have to only match hidden traits, but if you uncover a trait that belongs to a species that you've already uncovered you may match them as well.
